Ian Hodgson | Bradford, West Yorkshire
Ian Hodgson graduated with a first-class honours degree in fine art from Bradford College of Art. He moved to Brighton in 2000 and has recently moved back to his northern roots in Bradford.
Ian’s work is drawing based dealing with issues surrounding identity, memory and place, the concept of ‘journey’, both physical and psychological as an ongoing theme. Ian’s graphite drawings are exquisite. We have chosen to have them framed in ArtGlass so that you can see the incredible detail of a head movement, finger print or the light in a remote house.
“My work engages with identity and place. Emotional architecture. Psychological landscapes. Memory. Visibility. Revelation of the hidden. Liminal space. A moment suspended. An alteration of states.”
